Honorary Chaplain W.H.F. Harris

A citizen of the United States living in St Thomas Ontario, Webster-Henry Fanning-Harris served with the 6 Brigade Canadian Infantry and could have remained behind the lines at the Field Hospital, but he wanted to be with the men. He had just completed a burial service when he was hit in the spine with a piece of shrapnel. After an agony filled six months at several hospitals in England, he died in a London hospital and was buried at Brookwood Military Cemetery..
