Described by Beattie as “…a young man of beautiful spirit and much promise,” George Leycester Inglis’ father was Archdeacon Inglis of Toronto. Serving with the 3rd BN he spent a lot of time visiting in the hospital with a soldier who had influenza. Inglis caught the disease and died. Buried in Bulford cemetery. On his stone is written ” His servants shall serve him.” Rev 22.3
